Michael is the co-founding partner of Sky Events Management and serves as the director of business development within the organization. Michael's entire career has revolved around the servicing of clients and their needs. A graduate from the University of Maryland at College park, Michael went through the rigorous training program at Morgan Stanley and quickly climbed the ranks to Vice President. He managed millions of dollars in assets for over 500 clients and became their trusted advisor.
Along with his partner Meredith, Michael fulfilled his vision of establishing an innovative boutique meeting planning company which always puts the client first. A company with ethical values, personal entrepreneurial spirit and an unparalleled level of service and savings for customers was born. Michael has extensive meeting, event planning and negotiating experience working with large associations and Fortune 500 companies, overseeing client budgets ranging from $50,000-$1+ million. He played in integral role in securing Sky Events Management as the preferred meeting planning vendor for a $35 billion dollar US based insurance company and a publicly traded pharmaceutical client.
With a meticulous attention to detail and with a background in finance, Michael has the knowledge and skill set to micro-manage any budget. As your lead, on-site event planner, he will ensure all aspects of the meeting are flawless. No question is unasked and no problem is left unsolved. Regardless of how big the task or complicated the problem - he is always there to help our clients achieve their goals.
Michael lives in New Jersey and is a devoted husband and father to two girls, Chloe & Skye and of course the family dog Zoe. When he is not playing basketball or taking the girls to dance lessons, you will find Michael watching/reading/talking about sports.
Serving as the Vice President, Meredith is responsible for the operational management and strategic direction of Sky Events Management. Her focus is on client and industry relations within the company. Meredith graduated from The Ohio State University where she earned a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. Her entire career has been in the hospitality industry. Prior to co-founding Sky Events Management, Meredith's hospitality career began in 1996 with Hyatt Hotels. She spent 11 years with the Grand Hyatt New York and an additional year with the world-famous Waldorf Astoria in New York City as a Senior Sales Manager. She went on to spend her next 7 years as a Senior Director of Global Accounts with Helms Briscoe where she played an integral role in securing the United States Golf Association (USGA) as her client. Her portfolio of clients ranges from corporations and associations to major sports leagues helping them secure venues world-wide. She has done site visits and has established contacts with 1000's of hotels in both the U.S. and overseas.
Her experience working within the hotel industry has proven to be an invaluable asset to our clients. Having such in-depth knowledge of the right questions to ask and a thorough understanding of how to get our clients the best contractual terms has saved our clients thousands of dollars.
Meredith calls Freehold, NJ home with her husband, two daughters Chloe & Skye and beloved dog Zoe. In her virtually non-existent free time; Meredith is an avid runner, excels in the role of Super-Mom, and can juggle 150 balls while in the air. On the weekends, you will find her running or seeking an adventure with her family.
